greetings. working on a 2002 jetta wagon with a 2.8 VR6. The cooling fans are not working. I have downloaded the bentley manual and understand the procedure to diagnose it. The picture shows the thermal switch in the radiator, but it is not there on this car, and I can see no evidence of it ever being there. Everything else in the pic looks the same. I just did a trans conversion on my '94 Jetta and now I have the auto trans sitting here in need of a new home. I don't want to scrap it though, I'd rather give it away to someone who could actually USE it! I'm in Portland Oregon, so if you can come pick it up, you can have it for free.
Hey guys havnt been on it a while but I recently just put raceland coilovers on my 2007 jetta gli and I have this weird sound coming from only the front but mostly the right I have made sure all the bulls are tightened down. But also I haven't gotten an alignment
Also anyone have any tips on exhaust that would be great I've herd with the 2.0 keeping the stock pipes and putting an after market muffler sounds perfect not to loud and not to quite..... What do you guys think
hey guys been awhile for me being on here but i found a nice mk4 to get back into a vw again. but problem is thats its a auto so i need to know how to swap it to 5 speed. and exactly how to do it because eveey thread i seen online is guys telling pepe to sell there auto to get 5 speed well i dont wanna do that and i wanna swap mine. car already has a R title so im not worried about being a frankstein. for some reason manual VW's prices are insane around my area. so any help would be... The DPF captures 90% or better of harmful diesel emissions. Once the DPF has become full of soot, it will need to go through a regeneration cycle in order to burn all the soot out.
