So I have a 2004 Jetta Engine Code BBW. Fault code P0341 which is camshaft sensor code. Replace timing belt when I bought it and replaced cam and crank sensor as well as ign coil and battery plus starter.code sets because of the hard start. Also when I am driving on the highway I can pass 70mph and when I'm at 60 65 mph the rpm is at 3 grand (too high). I've got a 1994 VW Jetta GLIII. It has 233xxx miles on it and I was hoping to do an engine swap for something with significantly more power. Does anybody have any idea what would fit in it without any serious rigging? At some point I want to drop a little money on it and just make it a total project car. So, what would be a good first step for that?
I jsut purchased this car for $600. It has 200K on it. I was told that the ECU was bad by the person I purchased it from I know him and the mechanic and trust them both. They both know that I do all of my own work on cars. I hate taking it to a shop. I want to swap out my ECU with a used one. I get that the numbers on the ECU must match exactly.
