Performance upgrade questions

Greetings. I recently bought a 2010 jetta wolfsburg edition (gas) and want to see about getting some after market parts for it; However im a little new when it comes to that. To start off I was looking for a tuner and came across this http://www.moddedeuros.com/products/unitronic-stage-2-ecu-upgrade-2-0l-tsi It claims to require an after market high flow down pipe. So at this point I figured I may as well get a complete after market exhaust since id end up doing that anyway. However I have only been able to find one http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/...0-P?navigationPath=L1*14932|L2*14983|L3*15325

That said my first question is, are their any other exhaust systems out there for this car? I just want to see what my options are.

And my second question is, am I going about this right? as in 1:install new exhaust system, 2: buy tuning software/install it, done. Or am I missing something?

Thanks.

that exhaust would not meat the requirements for the stage 2 tune, you'd need a high flow down pipe, that just a cat back exhaust so everything from the catalytic converter back would be replaced, You could go with just this item http://www.42draftdesigns.com/VW-Mk5Mk6-FSITSI-3-Downpipe_p_334.html

or you could do the hole system and get this http://www.42draftdesigns.com/VW-Mk6-GTI-TSI-25-3-Turbo-Back_p_367.html
It says GTI but I believe it'll still fit, I would contact them to make sure it fits first

Alright sounds good. The last question I can think of, if I bought just the downpipe for now, would all I need later on is the cat back exhaust? I seen unitronic on their site sells the whole system but I don't really want to drop 1500 all in one go.

you could probly contact 42DD and tell them you already bought there downpipe and wanted to get the rest of the exhaust and see what they can do, there not a huge company and customer service is not lost with them, I've had to contact them a few times and have had nothing but good things to say about them
