Anyone into ATV's and MX bikes???

So i was just wondering if anyone else on here is into atv's or mx bikes. i do hill climbs, poka runs, drag racing, and the general trail riding alot. i have a 06' TRX450R Honda racing quad. i bought it new in 06' and have some mods done to it. it has a new cam, full exhaust, new cdi box (revs to 11k now), jet kit, k&n air filter, removed the airbox, and went one tooth up on the front sprocket and im runnin holeshot tires. so who else have sport quads or ne thing they ride in the woods. im usually the only one without 4X4 drive. my best friend has the new canam renegade 800r. very fast quad we r very close in a drag race if i get good traction lol. here r some pics.....

ive seen atv's with a R1 swap. very fast and still sounds like a street bike comin thro the woods lol.

I have a 99 Honda 400ex with White Bros Hot Cam, Piston & Head. K&N intake with Top Gun exhaust. It'll give any stock Raptor 770 a run for the money.

Its up for grabs for $1500 if anyone's interested. Switching over to bike.

Actually that was right after a rainy day of riding. Cleaned her up at the car wash. Trying to sell it to help pick up a MKII GTi.

yea im not what mine tops out at but at the dirtdrags itll top 70mph. in the 1/8. still 5th too. yea i run in the raptor class and usually dont have a problem them.

You are not the only Dirt squirrel here my friend...I have an '01 Honda CR250..An '05 Honda CRF 450..a 1999 Suzuki RM 250 and 1977 Yamaha 125...havent raced in years tho.

yea i have a 00' cr250......was a hell of a bike. i rode a buddies crf450 lots of power all the way around. not a suzuki fan unless its a gsxr lol. my dad has a 75' yamaha DT250 lol. paid $20 for it lol. rebuilt it for like $200........still running strong almost 8yrs later.

u need to clean that poor thing lol. nah i hardly wash mine unless its covered. those things have a sh*tload of bottom end.......great for hill climbs. i have basically the same motor in my TRX450R..just some minor differences. i bought the HRC kit from honda......made a hell of a difference.

haha..yeah it was all cleaned up and polished..we had an indoor bike show last month..had to rep the for Dirtdogs...well it was mild outside afterwards and I saw mud....

yea fix that beast up. they can fly.........ppl race them at the dirt drags too..very fast. one guy uses nitrous.......alil too much imo.

well, i had a 2006 Honda CRF150. sold it like 2(?) years ago. I also had a 1994 Ski-Doo MX470 (real fun machine), sold it last year. And the only toy we have left is a 2006 Polaris 900 Liberty (real real fun machine ) have had the 900 for 3 years or so

I started off racing when I was 5 on a 50cc Suzuki quad and finished my racing when I was 19 on a 03 Raptor that Started out as a full on MX bike. I kept getting hurt and didnt want to severly injure myself and not be able to work, so I changed everything over to race TT and short-tracks and just got burnt out over the years. I had offers from a guy I know to race Nationals and not have to drop a dime, but at that point I was just tired of it all and didnt want to do it if it wasnt fun anymore. I ended up putting the MX setup back on and just used it to hurt feelings dragracing or just riding with friends in the gravel pits and the huge creek bed we have local. Since then I've had a couple of pitbikes. One had a 125 lifan and the other was a 110 that was fully built with just a 114 kit. I used the 114 bike to train my buddies 5yo for his first year of MX. He has a Yamaha TTR50 he races in the Shaft class, which he won the championship that covers AR, MO, KY, MS, and TN. He also has a KTM 50 Junior and a KTM Pro Senior 50. We have the privalage of having 2 previous pro AMA MX riders from the 80s-90s that we know that have helped setup the suspension and offer tips on his riding. We're hoping to get him qualified for Loretta Lynn's this upcoming year to see how he fairs with some kids from all over the states.

yea i tried mx on the atv ehh....didnt like it. drag and hillclimbs for me now and trail riding still. man, raptors..........they remind me of mustang owners. they r the best,fastest, blah blah.....gets old. hey, they r a nice atv and they're quick too. at the dirt drags i jump up a class to run with the raptors (450 and 700cc class). i just have bolt ons mostly the samethin the raptors have too. i win and lose....but when i lose it is a close race........if i dont f'up too bad lol. all the raptor guys bitch cuz they think my 450r, isnt legal in that class, but it is lol. must b that vtec power from my honda............shhssss dont tell ne one i have that hahaha lmao

Trying to make a Raptor in to a MX or TT race machine is a joke. I just wanted to try something different than everybody else. If I was to get back and race again it would be on a Yamaha yfz450r or a KTM 450. Back when I got offered a quad to race in the nationals, it was a 400ex with Laegers arms, durablue axle and front roll bar. Triple rate Peps on the front with a Pep on the back, Curtis Sparks pipe, silencer, and Curtis Sparks convereted Elelbrock carb, and one of the baddest 414 kits I've riden in my life. I raced against that bike on a short track and got my ass handed to me and I would have placed 3rd to it and a built YFZ450 but ended up bending the valves on the last lap. I guess revving to the moon only last so many heats. lol Stupid titanium valves. *facepalm*

so dad was driving the sled last night (its a 2006 Polaris 900) and hit a tree. luckily it was only a little spruce but still did damage. cracked bottom plastic by right ski badly, and bent the a-arm on the right too. dad wasnt hurt but this sucks. Now i cant drive it till fixed or we asses the damage more. was able to drive it home so could be okay for now.....

I had a 660 R , it was a pretty good bike. I was into stupid stunts when rode though, and trails, so it was perfect for me. I loved riding wheelies though, that was my absolute FAVORITE thing. Nothing like the feeling of 2nd through 5th on two wheels, i havent found anything like that feeling this far in my life. Like a natural high. Mine was stock, only thing i did was jetted it and put in a K&N filter, and some cosmetics, ASV lever and such things. (And yes, lol, there is nothing like the feeling of hitting a dirt road at 45 miles an hour when you touch the throttle just a bit much coming out of 4th gear.)

had my 450r out in the snow today......had to ride it lol. didnt go very well without 4wd lol. im gettin cabin fever to ride it that damn groundhog better b right this yr or ill show off my 12 gauge skills ahha. jk guys.
