Hi! Wonder if someone could help me out by clarifying something? Took my 2005 Jetta to the dealer because the driver side window was not working. The dealer looked at it and said the harness was broken and needed to be replaced for $500 plus. I found a repair shop that could just fix it instead of replacing the entire harness for a fraction of the cost, so I declined the dealer's service. After I picked up the car from the dealer, the door locks stopped working, the lights don't come on and beep when I use the fob, the dash display shows that the door is open, etc. I took it back and the dealer pretty much told me "sorry, it's the harness and you have to fix it." I complained the car is worse off than it was. Are they trying to rip me off? Everything except the driver window was working before.
