    Default Motor swap and more!!

I have a 90 MKII, my motor blew up due to previous owner neglect. I bought a new motor from another VW guy, solely because he sold all his VW stuff and left town. The motor is, I'm assuming "Frankenbuilt." Will you help me identify the parts correctly if I were to take pictures of what's necessary, so I can put this together the right way. I don't want to half ass this job. The motor block has a VW sign on it with a 2.0. Please let me know what you need to see so you can help! Thanks, and I GREATLY APPRECIATE all the help I will get.

Take some good pics. Of the head, Throttle body area, and one of the block, in particular the ID code stamp on the block right under plugs 3 and 4.

It will say RV, PF, ABA or somthing like that.

Thanks, I will once I get my camera back from my friend. Also, a question about the wiring. The guy I bought this stuff off of, he just got back to me and said this, "It's a 1.8 block with a 2.0 head Frankenstein cam swap, big port, and polish." Wiring isn't a strong suite of mine. Is there anything that I should prepare right away?

ID:	12885Here's what I have of the motor that I want to put in. I'm not looking for speed or quickness... but a legit cruiser. Will anyone be able to tell me what I will need or able to reuse for this swap.

Looks like somone put some time into rebuilding / refurbishing an old 16valve engine. They're a good engine. CIS E injection is very nice, easy to work on. You would want to make sure you get the entire fuel system, air meter and ECU. It also uses a slightly bigger rad.
