Default any way to disable daytime running lights?

What the name of the post says... This is my first VW and first car to have the headlights turn on automatically when i'm driving. Is there any way to disable this without doing any major electronic work or soldering?

May be silly but I like having complete control over my headlights. lol.

P.S. is anyone else having problems uploading an avatar? It keeps telling me it's an invalid file, but it's under 100k and meets size requirements. I've tried uploading both .gif and .jpg images.

    It's pretty easy...

    1) Push light switch in and turn clockwise. It will lock in the pushed and turned position

    2) Pull it out.

    3) Disconnect the harness from the back of the switch.

    4) There are a couple options for this, but they all involve the pin marked "TFL"... Put a small piece of electrical tape over the pin -or- break the pin off

    5) Put it all back together

I work from awkwardness. By that I mean I don't like to arrange things. If I stand in front of something, instead of arranging it, I arrange myself.

The way they have the search set up is through the little tags you have to put when you make a thread. Kinda stupid...
