So I'll post pics soon but as mentioned before i went to a stage 1+ , custom 3 inch exhaust without being crushed to 2 inch anywhere... bit of a pain to do apparently lol... high flow catalytic converter... about a month ago i started getting a P0299 code, looks like im running too much boost and have torn my diverter valve membrain so i bought the new supperseeded piston one still have to install it... engine also throwing a code for 02 sensor issues so got this piece the looks like a small elbo it screws into exhaust behind the catalytic converter and the 02 sensor screws into that... should fix all issues and back to playing on the road with proper power going for paint in two weeks... quite excited.

Picked up a set of VW Montreal II 16" wheels. The plastidip is peeling, so the black will be coming off.

I've been peeling this plastidip and I can tell you that i would never plastidip anything because of how annoying it is to remove.

About a month ago i picked up a set of used long beaches, not bad for $170 (tires are shot though)

Today i decided to touch up some exterior fading plactics on the jetta. that including the splash guards/mud flaps, and my rear valence

This led to finding a ton of dirt inside the wheel wells which i cleaned out lol. rust-causing dirt that is.

I also touched up the metal the divides the rear windows, which wasnt looking good before today lol

Roof rack went back on today as well instead of sitting in my room. Had to put my steelies back on because of the shot tires on the LBs, I need to pass inspection!

I finally got the plastidip peeled off. Used some Tar and Bug remover and it melted the stuff off.

Skimmer is going to hate me for this, but they went black again. lol. I'll post more with them on the Jetta and i think they look way better than my Avus wheels. I also realized why my Avus wheels had a groove taken out of the inner side of the tires and why I'm already replacing tires... They have been rubbing the collars on my coilovers, which is also why my ABS/Traction control wires were cut. So i also ordered 8mm Spacers for the front just so i can be back on the road. Hellaflush is looking to be in my future.

We're slowly making progress with my password. I should be back on my main account by the end of today if everything goes smoothly.

Yeah, it used to be blue, it went white a few years ago when the racelands went on and i was just lazy on updating my avatar picture.

I've always liked the black and white scheme, but I have been wanting to change the color again lately.

I did my oil change and installed the spacers, then noticed a black trash bag wrapped around my CV Joint, which took out my ABS. While i was under there, i noticed I'm leaking coolant again and transmission fluid. The transmission pan is leaking at the gasket and I have a crack in the transmission. Man, i can never get a break with this vehicle.

    Installed the Aluminum Belly Pan:

Driver side Bracket. The kit was missing one of the 10mm Nuts for the stud, so I may put int he other Well Nut...

Passenger side bracket, not a lot of room...

Passenger Side Bracket mount for the skid plate, driver side is the same...

Plate installed, is a little crooked, can't get it 100% straight.

    View from engine compartment...

All in all, this plate could be at least 6" longer with an upward taper. While it was pretty easy to install, it
seems a little wobbly. The brackets could be a little more solid, made from good steal with gussets.
These bent quite easily from side to side, but they need to be bendable somewhat for fitment. Lining up
took a few loosens up and twisting...

I was missing parts, as usual, but they were a bolt and a lock washer for the one stud the 10mm bolts
go on to, on the driver side.

It still won't do what I need it to do, because it needs to be 6" longer. I have been hitting animals on the
road. IT would have saved the radiator support, but the front would still get all banged up. I need a
metal piece like the front splash piece that the belly pan bolts on to. We'll see what happens..

Don't think it's worth the $275.00, and I was almost going to send it back...

Didn't really do it today, more of a yesterday... I had a coolant leak but I hadn't driven the jetta for days, nay weeks, since I got the firebird... I had a serious jetta hankering so I threw Some extra coolant in the trunk and said f it, I'll risk it. Well that was bad and good. Good because I believe the jetta is faster, lighter, and easier to drive than the firebird, but bad because that small leak became a torrential downpour once I got home, i dont think there could be any coolant left in it after the lake that formed on my driveway.... another good is now it will be very obvious where the leak is..

DSG Service. Found fluid is leaking from the passenger side output shaft. Still got a little
over 4 liters our of it, I put 5 in.

So, looks like an expensive repair, a seal is leaking there, I suppose.

I think they even know it's an issue, there is a curved shield over the area that keeps the spray from
going up into the engine compartment.

    Installed a volt meter...

Used a UNIVERSAL BIT and ran it through enough for the tail end of the meter to fit into.

Power, from my power block, then a ground.

    Installed

    Car not running.

    Car at Idle.

Higher idle, peaks at about 14.3 when driving.

This is the power block I installed, for the CB, and now for the Volt Meter.
Power is right to the (+) Battery post.

(+) Battery wire into cabin through hood release cable grommet.

The power block was added a while go...

Jetta's fixed again. Somehow the corner of the transmission pan was bent, possibly from hitting a rock or speed bump somewhere.

I ordered a spoiler last week. I should be receiving my OEM spoiler today.

Also installed a new post cat o2 sensor. Smog is due by the end of the month and kept throwing the P1114 code.
