Thread: Horn not working

  1. #1

    Default Horn not working

    Ran VCDS and got this:

03591 - Control Circuit for Horn
    011 - Open Circuit - Intermittent
    Freeze Frame:
    Fault Status: 00101011
    Fault Priority: 3
    Fault Frequency: 12

Is this the wiring, the relay, the fuse, or the horn itself that needs to be replaced. VCDS has no solution for this fault code.

Definitely not the relay. When the horn does not work I can still hear the relay click.

    Bad ground or power wire?

    Maybe even the horn itself.

have you only done a vcds scan? or have you gotten under the car and checked the 12v at the horn with it being pressed? have you pulled the relay and checked your readings there? Hve you checked the fuse? if you hear the relay switch over your problem is most likely on the horn side or the fuse
