    Default Bad ignition switch symptoms

Im just wondering if i should go get an ignition switch because my car wont start, no crank. But when i turn the key to the acc position, i still have all my accessories. Radio and stuff works, just wont start..could this be the ignition switch?

How many threads do you need for this? The other thread had some good responses in it.

Yes it's either your ignition switch or your starter

You did have another thread that stated this
ALTHOUGH, I know what it's like to be frazzled about a repair problem and want quick, reliable answers from more then one person.

It could be a couple other things besides the ignition switch, I'd get it checked out first.

nah its nothing else man, its deff. the ignition switch.

I unplugged my starter, put my key in the On position, then took a speaker wire and touched the starter and the battery possitive together and it started right up lol. Its not my key cylinder because i can feel the spring.

come on man i already told you exactly what is your problem... and if the wire trick i told you worked then its not your starter its your ignition switch ..... its simple to do and i showed you what to avoid and gave you pointers on a better way to do it than on the site .... its really worth the 1-3 hours to change it than paying 100+ for the labor

yeah dude, i'll disconnect my battery, thats the only thing i dont want to touch, i'd rather lick the battery hahaha. Did you just unscrew the back 2 screws, and pop the connecter off the back of it?
