I have a 2000 Jetta 2.0. The Oil Warning Light flashes and "dings" more and more often. The oil level is fine. Oil changes have always been normal. The car was taken to a local "Import shop" and the oil pressure was checked out and found to be better than expected for its age. I have changed the (sending unit?)sensor twice, but the "fix" was very short lived (2 days). The alarm comes on mostly when coming of the throttle at high speeds, but also comes on when hitting bumps...going around curves...etc At constant highway speed it never alarms....even during long commutes.
Anyone else heard of this happening or had this problem?
