Question Driver's Window Switch for Passenger side NOT WORKING

    Hello All!

Here is my issue... I have a Passenger Window Switch on my Driver Side that isn't working. However, when you go on the passenger side and use the switch there...the window open and closes. I am able to open and close the driver side window so it can be the switch completely unless they are wired separately. What should i investigate? anyone else had similar problems?

    Thanks!

i kind of figured it would be...wouldn't hurt to just buy a new driver window switch for only 25 bucks. I will definitely do that... thanks Onavianva

    *update*

SO i bought another window switch for the driver side window and the problem remains the same. The motor is not damaged since the passenger side window is working only when the passenger side switch is being pressed on. I will assume that any fuses/relay is fine which leads to a connection line...has anyone ever experienced this at all?

wow that sucks... at this point i dont know why its not working... Did you check all your pins and connectors/lines when you removed your old window switch? probably wont be that but wouldnt hurt to inspect all your connectors...

I did inspect the the connectors and it seemed fine... I noticed this evening that the switch does show a nice green glow when i turn on my interior lights which does show sign of a good connection with the light switch. there must be one bad connection. I will further investigate along with changing my CV axle/front wheel bearings. Jesus, so much work to do.

    *update*

I beleive i have found the problem!
I am glad i took a day off from work and had time to check the connection of the window swith to the fuse box.
There is this rubber boot that is located on the "arm pit" of the door to the car. I took off the boot and saw two broken wires. It is one yellow/red wire and a very thin orange wire... i can easily reconnect the yellow/red wire but the thin orange wire is broken from the neck of the connection base. When i disconnect the "round black connector," these little spindles are shown. How do i take out one of them in order to properly fix the orange wire?

The metal spindle (just one) i want to take out is in this image ...

Right in the center of the round plastic base.

My windows are now back to normal!
I learned to take out the broken wires by using a small jewelry flat screw driver and prying the ends of the terminal pins.
bought electrical copper wires from a hardware store for 30 cents... re-attached both ends or the wire and BOOM! we have functioning windows!
    Thanks for your help Ona!
I will definitely double check this area because constant Open/close movements on the driver side door can tear through the electrical wire harness for the windows.
