I have a 2002 1.8t jetta that turns over but won't start here's what I've done to try to resolve the issue I have replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pump relay, all fuses, spark plugs and oil, and the o2 sensor, have cleaned mass air flow sensor and injectors, have done a power test to injectors and they all get power and the motor is getting fuel, checked starter and alternator both working
I just bought a 2001 jetta and it won't start either. Keep hearing about the crank sensor. Not having much luck on finding it. It's a 2.0 but the original motor was hydro locked and it was swapped with the newer 2.0 from 2001 from what I was told.
My 04 jetta 1.8t won't start during the heat of the day. Cranks but no start. In the shade or in the morning I have no issues. When it is in my driveway in the sun it will not start.
